<b>1846 / Liège, Rue Laruelle, 1</b> Advertisement : "An amateur, who has practised the art of the daguerreotype since 1839, would like to sell at a favourable price all the accessories needed for that art, and would teach, if desired, the process for preparing the paper, called light-sensitive, of his invention, that can replace the plates, etc. Apply to Rue Laruelle, no. 1, in Liège. Dr. S." (L’Indépendance Belge, 4, 6, 8.1.1846). "An amateur, who has practised the daguerreotype since 1839, and who now applies himself to photographic experiments for reproducing portraits, views, etc., etc., on paper, would like to sell at a favourable price all the accessories needed for the daguerreotype. Please apply to the "Salons photographiques, Rue Laruelle, n° 1 in Liège" (idem, 22, 24 and 27.1.1846). At this address can be found from 1840 until 1844 (no census was made in 1846) Dr Jean Evangéliste Abraham Von Kriss (° Feldkirch [AT], 25.9.1792; + Tournai, 8.7.1868), doctor of the 13th Artillery Regiment. Adrien Wittert (see that name) was a general in the artillery.
