<biogHist>
1867 Bruxelles
Alfred Victor, ° 25.11.1844; + 1.7.1908. Operator in an as yet unidentified studio.
1868 Bruxelles - Ixelles, Rue Keyenveld, 75
Initial "A." in the directory. Note proximity to the "Société royale belge de photographie". Archier operated portrait studios in Paris, rue de Laval, 6 in c. 1875 and subsequently rue Montmartre, 142 in 1884-1885, the latter in partnership with a certain Louis Emery. At that point Archier was recorded as a photographer living in Saint-Maurice [Val-de-Marne, F]. Still recorded as a photographer in Livry-Gargan [Seine-Saint-Denis, F] on his death certificate. The document was signed by his son "Victor Mathieu fils" (° c. 1873), then recorded as a photographer in Paris. Also see entry for Mathieu, [Victor] & Dery, [Félix].
</biogHist>
