      <biogHist><p>&lt;b&gt;1901 - 1908 / Bruxelles, Rue de l'Etuve, 12 or 12-52&lt;/b&gt;
Louis Joseph, ° 2.8.1841; + 16.7.1916. Stationer and publisher of picture postcards. Father of Léontine and brother of Justine Aymond (see those names). Likely succeeded Jean-Baptiste Verassel as a stationer at this address in May 1882, when he married Verassel's widow. Aymond became Belgian by naturalisation in 1888. He announced a transfer to no. 10 of the same street in June 1908, when he also advertised that the firm had been founded in 1832 (Le Soir, 27.6.1908). The founder was most likely his father Joseph Aymond (° Lyon [F], 7.5.1807; + Brussels, 24.9.1885), who was recorded as a bookbinder and stationer. The firm seems to have continued operating well into the interwar years.</p></biogHist>
