Originally recorded as a clerk arriving in Antwerp on 30.4.1880. Recorded at this address from 31.5.1888 to 7.6.1890. 1890 * - 1908 / Anvers, Rue de l'Offrande, 11<90-98> then 10<99-08> Predecessor: Beng Maurice (at no. 10) # Successor: Albert # or Vitalis Michel Moved to this address on 7.6.1890. 1906 * - 1920 > Anvers, Rue Bréderode, 102 [Brederodestraat] Predecessor: Van Boghout Ed. Listed as a branch of the studio at Rue de l'Offrande in 1906-1908. Beng had requested permission to build a window display at this address on 14.2.1906. He then moved to this address on 4.4.1908. Peculiarly, all photographs at this address bear the name "Edward". Beng apparently preferred to use the trade name of his predecessor Edward Van Boghout (see that name). His son Henri Emiel Louis (° Antwerp, 26.10.1887; + Antwerp, 9.2.1923) was also recorded as a photographer here and most definitely succeeded his father at some point in time. Ratinckx lists "H. Beng-Loos" at this address until 1913 and "H. Beng" from 1914 onwards. The studio was still advertising as "Photo Edward" in 1923. By 1928, G. Geubels was listed as a photographer at this address.
