<b>1902 - 1908 Bruxelles - Schaerbeek</b> Charles Ferdinand Abel, ° 17.8.1868; + 7.10.1932. Medical doctor. President of the "Cercle Photographique de Schaerbeek" in 1902, in which capacity he was described as "the cordial Dr Bricoux [sic], a sharp intellect and well-known practitioner, a subtle mind in an enormous body" ("Alfred Jarry à Bruxelles", Le Peuple, 18.11.1931). Committee member of the "Cercle photographique d'Ixelles". Won first prize in the category "most beautiful collection" in a competition organised by the "Cercle Photographique de Schaerbeek" in 1906. His photograph titled "Le Forgeron" (from one of the latter Cercle's yearly competitions) was published in the "Revue Internationale de Photographie" in March 1908.
