Alida Maria Elisabeth Catherine, ° 18.12.1864; + 8.1.1945. Still-life painter with a predilection for floral compositions and one of the few female pictorialists in Belgium. Member of the "Cercle d'art photographique l'Effort". At her wedding in Brussels on 8.10.1892 to Georges François, a pharmacist (as was her father), she was recorded as not having a profession. Daenen retained her maiden name and would later divorce. In later life, an active philanthropist.</p></biogHist>
