1855 * - 1857 ca Liège, Rue Souverain Pont, 27 (Hôtel des Pays-Bas) "Jacques" Bidoit arrived in Liège on 15.6.1855. In the population registry he was recorded as born in Reims [F], "40 years old", husband [like Hugues Bidoit (see that name)] of Catherine Adèle Roche (° Reims [F], 36 years old). Bidoit (no initial) alone at this address, according to handwritten verso dated November 1855. On 1.1.1857, Bidoit was registered as a "pothographe" in the population registry. Jacques and Hugues were probably the same person, unless they were brothers. The partnership with Dallemagne must have been very brief. In December 1856, Bidoit (no initial), again alone at this address, advertised "Portraits from 3 to 6 fr. on glass, canvas or paper, coloured in oils. Do not confuse my firm with the one [operating] at the Aigle-Noir, Rue Féronstrée, with which I have no connection" (La Meuse, 20.12.1856).
