Recorded as having no profession and domiciled in Paris [F], while resident in Brussels - Saint-Gilles, at the occasion of his wedding in Brussels - Saint-Gilles on 28.4.1898. Second prizewinner in a competition for landscape photography organised by the "Touring Club de Belgique" in 1902. Initially a commercial traveller and amateur photographer, he turned professional by 1907, according to the trade directories. Still recorded as a commercial traveller, resident in Brussels - Saint-Gilles, Rue de la Victoire, 104, in the 1903 membership list of the "Club d'amateurs photographes de Belgique"; then in charge of club apparatus at the club; deputy secretary in 1904. Recorded as a photographer aged 37 resident in Brussels - Saint-Gilles in July 1907.</p></biogHist>
