Augustus Franciscus Henricus, ° 3.6.1871; + 21.11.1962. Engineer and electrician. Elder brother of Francis Demblon and brother-in-law of Franz Willems (see those names). Shareholder in the photographic supply house of "Edmond Bastyns &amp; Cie", founded on 1.3.1902. Member of the photographic section of the "Cercle artistique, littéraire et scientifique d'Anvers" from 1904 and librarian, 1905-1908. Prize winner in a photography competition organised the "Societe Royale Nautique Anversoise" in 1903 (Le Matin, 2.11.1903). Member of the photography section of the "Katholieke Kring", 1904-1905. Member of the organising committee for the "Palace of Light" at the Ghent world fair of 1913, under the auspices of the "Chambre syndicale des électriciens belges". Lived in exile in Farnham [GB] during World War I where he worked as a radiographer. Manufacturer of electro-medical devices and X-ray devices branded with the acronym "Adarix" in the interwar period.</p></biogHist>
