<b>1902 * - 1939 + Frameries, Grand'Rue, 42 or 43</b> ° 17.3.1878; + 2.11.1939. Commonly written Guisoland until around 1910. Apprenticed to Galladé in Mons from 1897 until 1900. In 1902 he opened a studio in Frameries in the centre of the Borinage region. Every social class in that mining district would troop into the artificial décor of the studio where they struck flattering poses at odds with their grim surroundings.
