<biogHist>
1882 - 1913 Liège, Rue du Pont-d'Ile, 4
Employee and manager (initial "S.") of the Gustave Straus studio during the 1880s and 1890s, operating here by 14.10.1882 at the latest. Probably Salomon Golstein [sic] (° Heerlen, [NL], 4.1.1859), who was recorded as an optician aged 29 domiciled in Liège on the occasion of a brother's wedding in Brussels on 8.8.1888 when he signed "S. Goldstein". A certain "M. Goldstein" was listed in the directories at this address in the section "photographic supplies" rather than "photographers", from 1907 onwards. The Straus firm was subsequently acquired and managed by Adolphe Golstein - see entry for Gustave Straus.
1884 ca Liège, Rue de la Cathédrale, 75
Successor: Silverberg A.
On CV, "S. Goldstein / Manager".
</biogHist>
