Hennebert was probably an employee or partner of Smeesters at this address before becoming his successor when Smeesters left for Paris [F] before 30.10.1903. During the interwar period, Hennebert styled himself "Photographer Reporter" and, as president of the "Association des reporters photographes en Belgique", helped to organise the first exhibition of press photography in Belgium in 1932. At that time he was operating in Brussels at Rue de la Madeleine, 71. In 1941, Hennebert sold a collection of 638 glass negatives depicting Brussels monuments to the "Musées royaux d'Art et d'Histoire", now kept at the Royal Institute for Cultural Heritage (KIK-IRPA) in Brussels. Hennebert's archives were destroyed in the 1950s.
