° 21.10.1860; + 11.5.1953. At first clerk, later director in Courtrai of a bank belonging to the "Société Générale". Pioneering pictorialist, specialist of foggy, marshy, and snow-covered landscapes; seascapes; views of Campine. Member of the "Société Photographique de Courtrai". Secretary of the Courtrai section of the ABP in 1897; president 1913-1916. Gave a demonstration with autochromes to his fellow members of the ABP in April 1909. Moved to Brussels in 1915. Active to a lesser extent into the 1920s. Commissioner of the Brussels section of the ABP, 1922-1926. Ickx moved to Lubbeek in the Hageland (Brabant) in 1926 and abandoned photography.</p></biogHist>
