<b>1897 Chine</b> Lucien Gustave Adelin, ° 19.5.1874; + 23.10.1938. Deputy secretary during an economic mission to China led by Alexis Dufourny and Edouard Walin (see those names). In December 1897, it was announced that an exhibition would open on 14.1.1898 at the "Société des Ingénieurs", comprising more than 800 photographs taken by Dufourny, Walin and Janssen during their travels through China and Japan (Le Soir, 15.12.1897).
