      <biogHist><p>&lt;b&gt;1900 * - 1914 &gt; Renaix, Rue de la Station, 134 or 220&lt;/b&gt;
Théodore Chrétien Magnus Robert, ° 11.7.1874. Previously registered in Courtrai from 6.1.1894 until his departure in May 1895 (although only removed from the population register in 1898). He was most probably an operator at one of Courtrai's portrait studios. Subsequently recorded as a journeyman photographer in Antwerp from 30.4.1896 until at least February 1898, then as a photographer resident in Tournai, Rue de Courtrai by the end of December 1898 at the birth of a daughter.
Jensen arrived in Renaix / Ronse with his family, coming from Tournai, on 29.1.1900 and was recorded as a photographer domiciled in Renaix in August 1901 at the birth of a son there. In the 1900-1910 population register, resident at no. 134 and in the 1910-1920 register at no. 221. In the latter, Jensen is recorded as being of Danish nationality, perhaps to avoid him being classified as German and therefore an enemy alien. It would appear that there was no interruption in Jensen's residence in Renaix even following his wife's death in October 1913 and that he was still operating there in September 1920. Nonetheless, a certain Theodor Jensen was operating in Flensburg [D], Norderhofenden, 15 in the years before World War I.</p></biogHist>
