<b>1860 * - 1877 Nivelles, Rue de Namur</b> ° 27.12.1817; + 28.3.1881. Director of the "Académie de Dessin et de l'Ecole Industrielle de Nivelles" since 1841. Established his studio in March 1860. "Mr F. Licot, director of the school of drawing and architecture in Nivelles, has the honour of announcing that he has just opened his photography studios for portraits on glass, canvas and paper. Prices vary from 3 fr. up to 50 francs for coloured portraits" (Gazette de l'arrondissement de Nivelles, 24.3.1860). Licot photographed the participants, in historical dress, of the Saint Gertrude jubilee procession in 1868. Diploma of merit in Vienna in 1873 for his basic course in line drawing which he also exhibited at the Centennial Exhibition in Philadelphia in 1876. Photolithography in line for copying drawings. Townhouse with photographic studio designed for him by his son Charles Licot (1843 - 1903) in Rue de Namur in 1875. Founder member of the ABP.
