° 15.3.1865; + 19.12.1932. In the Congo from 1891 until 1908. Missions of exploration in the Upper Congo, his tasks including the collection of artefacts and documentation for use at the International Exhibition in Antwerp in 1894 and the Colonial Exhibition in Tervuren in 1897. In this context, he took negatives of the Congo, enlarged by Alexandre for the Antwerp Exhibition in 1894. Secretary of Commander Cabra (Royal High Commissioner). On his return to Belgium he became a member of the Belgian Congo scientific staff in Tervuren for 12 years.
