Edouard Joseph, ° 2.2.1874; + 28.12.1957. Recorded as a draughtsman in July 1899. Letterhead, "Portrait draughtsman and photographer. Studio in the courtyard and exhibition." Monu was deaf-mute and founded the "Maatschappij voor Doofstommen van Antwerpen" [Association of Deaf-mutes of Antwerp] or "MADOSA" on 11.2.1894. Left this address on 12.12.1901.

Monu moved to this address on 12.12.1901. On 14.4.1902 he requested permission to place a display case on the façade. Thereafter at this address in partnership with Frantz Ginckels, officially from 13.12.1904 to 31.1.1907. Moved to Antwerp - Wilrijk on 2.9.1907. Subsequently registered at a different address in Antwerp in 1908-1911.
