1890 - 1910 + Bruxelles - Molenbeek Jean Henri, ° 7.6.1856; + 5.2.1910. Doctor of medicine, qualifying in 1881. Clearly suffused with wanderlust, Paternotte travelled professionally on steamers to New York (1881), La Plata [ARG] (1882) and Australia (1883). Appointed to Molenbeek civic hospital in 1884, he resumed his travels, to the Dutch East Indies (1886) and twice to the Congo (1887-1888 and 1892-1893). He returned definitively to Belgium on 17.10.1893. Paternotte operated a slide projector to view his travel photographs: Norway (with Doctor Brecx), Congo, Greece, Egypt, Spain, Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia. After Paternotte's death, his membership was transferred to his brother Léon Paternotte (see that name).
