      <biogHist><p>&lt;b&gt;1862 * - 1869 / Gand, Rue Basse, 22&lt;/b&gt;
Predecessor: Schaffers Nestor Successor: Beernaert Frères #
= Marie Louise Victoire Caroline Duvivier, ° 14.4.1824; + 10.12.1871. Another source gives her full surname as "Dupont Vivier De Streel". Advertisement stating "Veuve Madame Renoz operates herself" from 15.2.1863 onwards, though she had probably been running the studio since December 1862, as an advertisement appeared not naming the photographer; Nestor Schaffers, who had briefly run the studio after the death of her husband, had already left this address for Rue du Pont Madou. The phenomenon of a female photographer operating in public attracted attention: "Madame Veuve Renoz has come into contact with one of the great issues of political economy in the present day, I refer to a woman's right to work (Journal de Bruges et de la province, 5.3.1863). The Renoz stock was acquired by Beernaert Frères in April 1869. Recorded as having no profession on her death certificate.</p></biogHist>
