Recorded as a clerk at his wedding in Liège in July 1879. Listed as a photographer at this address from 1913, then as a retoucher-photographer here on his death certificate. Already active as a photographer in Liège as early as 1906, when one of his photographs was published in the periodical "Wallonia".
