The label on the back of his daguerreotypes reads: "By a new process. Daguerreotype portraits [...] He makes copies of paintings, engravings, monuments, groups and portraits for broaches; gives lessons [...] Operates in all weathers from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m." Took a portrait of the mayor of Mont-sur-Marchienne in 1847. In 1870 he lived in Rue de la Terre du Prince, 6, in Mons. "He undertakes bronzing, silver-plating and gilding of all kinds of metals, and can restore any metal object as good as new by means of the metal battery [...] He also manufactures all instruments of physics in accordance with specifications given" (Organe de Mons, 18.6.1870).
