The studio in the garden is especially suited for photographing paintings, statues, busts and all other objects of art and industry" (Het Handelsblad van Antwerpen, 3.1.1866). They were also stained glass designers and produced numerous windows for churches in Flanders. After discontinuing their photographic activities, the partnership pursued their stained glass activities until the early 20th century.
