Cameras and supplies. "Iris" photographic paper. "First class papers: bromide, citrate, celloïdin, photosensitive postcards. New "J.T." plates uniting all the desiderata" [Mertens, 1906]. Acquired the "Iris" and "Sienna" brands from his uncle Dominique Tackels or the latter's estate. The firm was transformed into a joint-stock company under the name "Takiris", founded on 5.8.1908. Two employees - R. Detraux and Mme Rosalie Vanderborght - were awarded bronze medal diplomas for "cooperators" at the Liège international exhibition of 1905. Listed as an industrialist at Brussels - Anderlecht, Avenue de Scheut, 252 from 1920 to 1928 and thereafter as a person of private means.</p></biogHist>
