<b>1892 - 1897 / Diest</b> ° 27.2.1848; + 22.5.1912. Captain-commander from 21.7.1889 and commander in the engineering corps in Diest from 30.6.1892. Accomplished topographical photographer; full-plate views of military forts in Antwerp and Fléron near Liège. He constructed an apparatus in 1894 that could take identity portraits of up to 15 soldiers at any one time. Received the rank of major from 26.12.1894. Appointed commander of the fort at Termonde on 29.6.1897 and promoted to the rank of lieutenant-colonel on 25.12.1898. After his retirement on 16.3.1903, Tecqmenne acted as a consultant engineer on specific projects and as an expert witness in legal cases. His son Theo. (see that name) became a professional photographer in Termonde.
