Marcel Albert, ° 7.8.1864; + 25.10.1941. Lawyer. Pioneer of pictorialism in Belgium, his work consisted principally of landscapes. Secretary general of the ABP from 1895 to 1911. Autochromist from at least November 1907. Corresponding member of the "Gesellschaft zur Förderung der Amateur-Photographie", Hamburg in 1896. Communal councillor in Brussels - Forest in 1913. Still a member of the ABP in 1922. Remained active in the interwar years until at least the mid-1930s.</p></biogHist>
