Jean Henri Guillaume, ° 11.06.1817; + 10.11.1855. Distiller. The first resident of Louvain to open a photography studio. "Mr Deymann... has the honour of informing the public that he makes Duguerréotype [sic] portraits and landscapes of all dimensions... from 8 in the morning to half-past-two in the afternoon" (Journal de Louvain, 7.5.1843). Still advertising his services as a daguerreotypist here in September 1843: "Improved portraits à la d'Aguerréotype" (Journal politique et d'annonces de Louvain, 3.9.1843); "Sittings in a garden in the shade (Journal de Louvain, 24.9.1843).
