According to the Tarlier directory, he was still active at this address in 1878, but it is highly unlikely he was still associated here with "Maison Straus" after moving his operations in early June 1873.

Wyngaard (see that name). “Photographer to Mgr the Count of Flanders” in 1895. Barras disposed of all the contents of his studio by public auction on 20.6.1898, including "approximately 1500 negatives of views of Belgium from 13 x 18 to 50 x 60 [cms] and 2000 prints of Belgian views (monuments, landscapes, etc.), mounted and unmounted" (La Meuse, 4.6.1898). The negatives were acquired by P.J. Plum at no. 25 by July 1898, confirming cessation of activities by Barras himself at this address, even though his name was still listed at no. 25 in directories in 1899-1900.
