Active until around 1920. His successor was Emile Cluytens (see that name), Witte Nonnenstraat, 53, according to Norbert Hostyn. Bauwens fled to Nice [Alpes-Maritimes, F] at the start of World War 1 and opened a studio named "Photo-Belge" there at Rue de France, 39.
