Carolus Joannes, ° 21.12.1881; + December 1955. Recorded as a bookseller domiciled in Poperinge at the occasion of his wedding to Bertha Laura Van Thournout (° Menin, 2.4.1889) in Menen on 10.4.1907. Already recorded as a photographer resident in Poperinge in April 1910 when acting as a witness on the birth certificate of a daughter to Leopold Beun (see that name). Advertised in February 1911 that he had been employed by a photographer in Oudenaarde for six months and was now operating for himself at this address (De Poperinghenaar, 19.2.1911). Remained active throughout the 1920s here.
