Georges Marie Ghislain Joseph, ° 30.12.1871; + 6.11.1945. Student. Following his graduation, Bemelmans spent some time in Argentina and then in the Congo as an agronomist, 1899-1902. He moved to Ceylon in 1903 where he became a tea planter and created a large plantation in Tawalantenne (Nuwara Eliya).
