° 28.3.1854; + 5.9.1907. Printer and publisher. Bénard had previously worked for H. Dessain (see entry), rising to the position of director. In 1888 and 1889, he advertised photoengraving in "Caprice Revue", a periodical he had founded himself in 1887.

The firm moved here in April 1889 (La Meuse, 15.4.1889). Still active in photoengraving in January 1891 (La Meuse, 7.1.1891). Paul Jaspar (1859 - 1945) designed a residence / workshop for Bénard on the site in 1895, considered the first Art Nouveau building to be constructed in Liège. Better known for printing spectacular Art Nouveau posters in chromolithography, Bénard was also a publisher of picture postcards until at least 1905. After his death in 1907, the firm continued to trade as "Imprimerie Bénard S.A.", operating until 1970.
