Had opened by the end of 1905. Recorded as a photographer at this address in the Brussels population register. Cameras and photographic supplies. "Special studio for industrial work" [Mertens, 1907]. His sisters Marie and Mathilde were also recorded at this address as labouring photographers and would later operate for themselves as Benne Soeurs (see that name).
