At his wedding in Brussels - Etterbeek on 26.2.1896, Benner was recorded as a photographer. Left for Brussels - Ixelles on 12.3.1896 and was listed as a member of the "Cercle Photographique d'Ixelles" in that year. Subsequently moved to Brussels - Saint-Josse, back to Brussels and then to Brussels - Laeken in the period 1897 to 1899 when he may have been a journeyman photographer. Throughout the 1920s, listed in Brussels - Ixelles, Rue Darwin, 26. Benner traded as "Photo Hall (Victor Benner)" in Brussels - Uccle, Chaussée de Waterloo, 756 from 1932 to 1935 where he advertised "firm founded in 1892". His widow was then listed at this address, 1936-1937.
