Joseph Bertel (° Aix-la-Chapelle [Prussia], 1830) and Eugen August Westendorp (° Düsseldorf [Prussia], 11.3.1839), of a Belgian father. Studio operated from the summer of 1865 until the winter of 1866-1867. On CV backs, "Westeldorp", and sometimes "Westendorf", but "Westendorp" in advertisements. Eugen Westendorp was the brother-in-law of August Kampf (see that name). Westendorp was active in Aix-la-Chapelle [Prussia], around 1868-1869 and his brother Carl operated in Cologne [Prussia], Comödienstrasse 7 about 1865.
