1859 * - 1864 / Bruxelles, Rue Neuve, 19
Successor: Boissie A. #
Arrived from Liège on 20.6.1859. Lithographs of Antwerp and Brussels monuments credited "after photographs by M. [= Monsieur] Bidoit" were published in "Album pittoresque. Souvenirs de la Belgique", Brussels, Kiessling & Cie, [1862].
1863 * - 1868 ca Bruxelles, Rue Grétry, 23, 21 or 19<65ca>
Successor: Van Cauter Edouard
No first name on CVs. Registered at this address on 21.11.1863. "Wothlytypie" is mentioned on a CV, after the process of Jacob Wothly in Aix-la-Chapelle [Prussia], which would imply a collaboration with Mangel du Mesnil (see that name). On 2.1.1872, the population registry mentioned that he had left for France three years earlier.
1864 Liège, Rue de la Régence, 16
Ambrotype dated July 1864. Perhaps at Klosterhalven’s studio. Unclear numbering: in 1857-1859, 14 = 2nd door of no. 16; in 1862 16 was renumbered 14. Bidoit (no initial) operated in Reims [F], Rue Châtivesle, 57 ("Near the Circus"), c. 1867. Subsequently recorded as a photographer in 1883, presumably in France, and as a house painter in an uncorroborated posthumous source. His death certificate records him as a photographer domiciled in Reims [F].
