Henri Joseph, ° 16.12.1833; + 4.6.1894. Sometimes spelled "Blankaert". Worked at Plumier’s studio ("Passage Saint-Hubert") before forming a partnership with Victor Sallas in Charleroi from 1860 until 1863 (see Sallas [Victor] & Blanckart [Henri]).

Studio opened on 20.5.1861. J. Neys was a bleacher and dyer. "The studio will be arranged so as not to inconvenience in any way those persons coming to pose. Trainee photographers sought." Operated here until early April 1863 when he left for Hasselt.

First domicile after arriving from Charleroi on 20.4.1863. Blanckart advertised: "For more details, apply to Mr Wynrokx, house painter, rue de Diest". This is probably P. Wynrocx, who subsequently went into partnership with Guillaume Van Laer (see that name).
