Predecessor: Sallas Victor Successor: Photographie Parisienne [1]
Jean-Baptiste known as Victor, ° 14.6.1822; + 13.11.1899. Arrived at this address from Brussels on 20.8.1861. He was registered at that time as an artist - painter. Although listed as Jean-Baptiste in the directories and in the population registry, apparently he preferred to be called Victor, and "V. Blondel" appears on the CVs. He took over Victor Sallas’ studio and this lineage may have encouraged him to go by the name Victor. He is said to have been active in Rue de France, 26 at an unspecified date. There was a "Maison Blondel", Rue Impériale, 26 in Tourcoing [F], 1872 ca - 1878 ca, possibly founded by Victor.
1878 * - 1880 / Charleroi, Boulevard Central, 51
Successor: Blondel Camille
At the wedding of his son Camille on 30.7.1879, Jean-Baptiste was recorded as a photographer resident in Charleroi, but no street address is given. Blondel returned to Brussels from Liège on 10.4.1888 when he was again recorded as an artist painter. His death certificate recorded him as having no profession.
