Sidonie Alphonsine Julie Marie, ° 6.4.1845. Tobacco merchant and print dealer. Daughter and successor of François Rau - Van Acker (see that name). She married Edouard François Boddez (° Vlisseghem, 13.11.1845) in Bruges on 15.10.1874 when she was recorded as not having a profession. The photographs sold by Sidonie Boddez - Rau and bearing her name were taken by Victor Daveluy or by other photographers, even foreigners, e.g. the series Q.V., Paris, produced by the publisher Quéval (see that name). When the Queen of Saxony visited Bruges in the company of members of the Belgian royal family, she made a selection of photographs of the city here (Journal de Bruges, 29.5.1889).
