° 13.5.1812; + 31.12.1877. In 1864, accompanied by his son, Adolphe Braun journeyed through Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxemburg und Rhineland Prussia. They returned with 1200 exposed plates, including 400 views of Belgium and the Netherlands. A few of these were in stereo.
1890 Bruges
The Braun studio in Dornach [Alsace] requested permission on 12.6.1890 to photograph the works of Memling in the "Musée de l’hôpital Saint-Jean" in Bruges. These photographs were published as carbon prints to accompany the work by A.J. Wauters "Sept études pour servir à l'histoire de Hans Memling", Brussels, Dietrich, 1894.
1894 ca Anvers
The Braun studio published copies of works in the Antwerp Museum, "paintings reproduced in permanent photographs".
