° 20.9.1860. "Electrotyping, halftone, stereotyping, wood engraving. Autotyping. Process blocks. Blocks for illustrating catalogues, prospectuses, albums, etc." [Mertens, 1900]. Firm founded in 1880 and reportedly the earliest mass-producer of enamel signs in Belgium. Busath went bankrupt by 1913, but the company continued as "Etablissements Busath, S.A." led by Emile Terfve. Edouard's son Robert Busath (° Brussels, 4.10.1895; + Brussels - Ixelles, 19.3.1959) had a business in Brussels - Ixelles specialising in photography on porcelain at the beginning of the 1920s. In later years, Robert was a member of the “Union des Photographes Professionnels de Belgique" (U.P.P.B.) and the ’’Fédération Générale de Belgique des Négociants en Articles Photographiques et Cinématographiques’’.
