Arthur Séverin Marie Léon, ° 2.7.1860; + 28.4.1950. Lawyer. Collaborated frequently with Véron De Deyne (see that name). They organised several public slideshows together. Butaye and De Deyne also co-authored the travel guide "Guide illustré du touriste à Ypres et aux environs", which was published in 1897 and contained numerous photoengravings of the city and its surroundings. The cover of the book states: "All these views are available as slides for light projection". Member of the "Société yproise de photographie" in 1897.
