1900 * - 1908 Bruxelles - Schaerbeek, Avenue de la Reine, 80
Founded in November 1900. Membership limited to 25. President: Charles Bricoult, 1902. 12 members in 1908. This was the address of "Café du Téléphone". A later article stressed the club's social and gastronomic nature, and stated that it was "composed of amateurs who, in civilian life, were doctors, notaries, civil servants, engineers, bank clerks, industrialists, businessmen and persons of independent means" ("Alfred Jarry à Bruxelles", Le Peuple, 18.11.1931). At that juncture in 1902, the club held dinners at the "Café des Deux-Ponts". Magic lantern talks at "Café du Téléphone" were announced in the press in March 1902 and January 1905, the latter "A trip into the Nile valley" by Alexandre 'Sander' Pierron (1872-1943), writer, journalist and art critic, given on 19.1.1905. Sander Pierron, Georges Eeckhoud (1854-1927) and Eugène Demolder (1862-1919) were reportedly honorary members of the club ("Alfred Jarry à Bruxelles", Le Peuple, 18.11.1931).
