° 11.4.1821. + 19.2.1898. Optician. Son of Simon Cerf (° Brussels, 1792) and of Joséphine Brand (° Brussels, 1794); brother of Joseph Cerf. Although some sources cite him as a photographer, we have not found any trace of photographic activities, unless it be as an itinerant Daguerreotypist in Bruges in 1842.
