Florent François Joseph, ° 16.7.1871; + 11.5.1928. Documented life and landscape in his region, taking views as far away as Bastogne, Dinant and Ciney. Some of his landscapes were published as picture postcards as early as around 1901. Collin was recorded as a tradesman living in Marche at the occasion of his wedding to Emma Maria Clothilde Henin (° Ciney, 9.12.1878; + 1974) in Dinant on 26.9.1911. Still advertising photographic supplies here in May 1915. Took portraits for ID cards ("Personal-Ausweise") under the German occupation during World War I. A surviving collection of over 430 glass negatives, discovered in a flea market in Arlon in 2023, formed the basis of an exhibition of modern prints from original negatives held at the "Famenne & Art Museum" in 2024.
