Founder member of the "Photoclub de Louvain". At the club's exhibition in 1900, he displayed a daguerreotype from 1846 and three glass positives from 1864, and was described as an "old amateur" (Gazet van Antwerpen, 9.9.1900). Possibly Louis Joseph Cosaert, recorded on his wife's death certificate dated 9.2.1895 as aged 71, of no profession and domiciled in Louvain.
