Author of "Méthode pratique pour l'obtention des diapositives au gélatino-chlorure d'argent pour projections et stéréoscopes", Paris, Gauthier-Villars, 1892. Invented two hand cameras, the 'Excellentis' in 1893 and another with a lens that could be decentred, in 1897.
In 1892 he invented a cutting frame which enabled plates to be split in the dark with mathematical precision, as well as the rectograph, for printing positives on glass with the same sharpness as the originals. These appliances were marketed by the Royal Photographic Manufactory (Louis Van Neck).
