Jean Baptiste Benjamin, ° 26.2.1819; + 11.1899. Musicologist and restorer of paintings. Ambrotypes, stereoscopic views. Large output from the 1850s onwards. "Photographer to the Dukes of Arenberg", he made a noteworthy series of views in the park of the Duke of Arenberg (half-plate format), 1860 ca. The original glass negatives have survived. He photographed the Duke’s properties and collections in Enghien, Brussels and Heverlee.
