Jean Charles Albert, ° 26.11.1854. Son of Walter (see that name). Eugène in the directories, 1879-1882. A doctor of science, he researched the rapid dry process in 1877, the conservation of silver prints in 1879 and long-distance photography in 1887. Founder member of the ABP and secretary of the Liège section in 1878-1879. Seems to have closed the studio in 1883.
1905 - 1912 Bruxelles
Secretary of the mathematics section of the "Société Belge d'Astronomie" from at least 1896 to 1908. Led the delegation of the "Société Belge d'Astronomie" during an expedition in Burgos [ES] to observe a full solar eclipse on 30.8.1905 and is known to have taken photographs during the mission. Founder member of the of the "Aéro-Club de Belgique" in 1901 and secretary of its photographic section from at least 1908 to 1909. Gave a lecture on "photography in a balloon" during a special general assembly of the ABP on 10.12.1911 and illustrated it with slide projections, including his own autochromes.
