Georges François Jean Baptiste, ° 5.7.1885; + 5.8.1960. Accountant and colonial business executive. After study at the "Institut supérieur de commerce d'Anvers", Danhier was recruited by the "Union minière du Haut-Katanga". He left for the Congo on 4.7.1908 as an assistant accountant, a term of service that ended on 1.12.1911. Assisted Gustave Itten in charge of the photography section of the "Touring Club de Belgique - section du Katanga" on its creation in July 1911. Returned to Congo in October 1912. After World War I, Danhier worked in Dar-es-Salaam [now Tanzania] and again in Congo in various executive capacities until January 1930.
